Those items have helped to advance mineral prospecting and have greatly increased our chances of locating mineral desposits of ecomonic value. Altough these tools have improved our chances of finding minerals, they cannot totally replace actual on the ground prospecting. The prospector is still the "eye on the ground". A good prospector can locate stuff that companion tools cannot find alone.
